| I think I have lived in the city or at least in the suburbs for too long... I am too suspicious of nice people - thinking that there's something they want from you or something... but really, I think that the people in Cambridge are just really really nice^^ my roommates and I decided to take a walk around town before dinner and within 45 minutes, three guys came up and said hi to us... the first guy we met when we were just leaving the house and he was passing by after grocery shopping... he said hi to us and continued on his way... we forgot something in the house however and went back... he noticed and he came back to ask if we were lost or if we needed help with anything... of course our obvious reaction was to say no politely and lock the door behind us when we went back into the house XDDDDD the next guy we met by our school... he asked us if we were chinese and he said some random phrases in mandarin which we couldn't decipher because of his accent... he left and came back later to tell us that he knew chinese because his wife was chinese o.O the last guy we met when we were leaving the school... he was walking in the other direction and saw us and said "good evening, pretty ladies" XDDDDD my roommates and I bursted out laughing because we were just talking about how nice the people here are and how random they are as well =P it'll take me a while to get used to this simple kind of mindset though^^" | | |
| I think it's finally starting to sink in that high school is over and pretty soon I have to separate from my high school friends and enter a new stage in life - university ><" right now I feel very unprepared even though I have been preparing everything I will need for months now... I guess I didn't prepare myself enough emotionally and it's starting to hit me how much I'm going to miss all my friends and my usual support group next year >.< *sigh* Moving in Saturday September 1st... leaving my old life behind and starting all over again... | | |

| Wow I haven't blogged in such a long long time... So summer is here and high school is officially over^^ I started work this Monday - same tutoring job as last year so once again... great kids, which makes my job a lot easier =P Something hilarious happened this past Monday... at least I think it's hilarious XDDDD I went to the Richmond Hill Central Library with my lovely roomie Elaine and then all of a sudden we hear this beeping sound and it turns out that it is the fire alarm... so the librarians evacuated everyone from the building but most people didn't really seem too concerned; some people even drove away and left XDDDD anyways... four firetrucks came and the firemen were all in gear and stuff but what was more hilarious was that everyone was taking out their cameras and phones to take pictures of the firetruck and the firemen instead of worrying about the supposed fire XDDDDD meanwhile I was eating crackers with Elaine and watching the scene XDDDD eventually they let us back in but we're not sure what really happened with the alarm ><"

| hmm... for once in my life I am very happy with the way my life is going and the position I am currently in... Why? Because... - High school will be over in a couple of weeks (finally =P)
- I have received and accepted an offer to a university program I have wanted to go into since I knew I wanted to go into architecture...
- I have been offered a relatively large sum of scholarships and bursaries...
- I have found a house and two awesome roommates^.^
- My parents are giving me more freedom now^^
- I can drive XDDD
- I have a lo gung who loves me and cares about me a lot^.^
- I know who my true friends are and whom I can depend on^^
- My braces have been taken off and starting yesterday I no longer have to wear my retainer everyday XDD
- I have no more cantonese/mandarin classes or art classes or tutoring lessons anymore which equaks to a lot more free time XDDDDD
Life is good and all I can say is that I feel very very blessed at the moment =P | | |
